Mayla Janzen is a dynamic force in community events and local culture. As one half of the team at the Polson Night Market and the president of the Vernon Okanagan Inspired Community Events Society, Mayla brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her work.
Originally from Duncan on Vancouver Island, Mayla lived in Victoria, and was a small business owner, before making her way to Vernon in 2016. With a background in events, specialty foods, and administration - she excels at creating memorable experiences and fostering community spirit.
Mayla's dedication to her community is matched only by her passion for travel, which allows her to gather fresh ideas and bring them back to enrich the local scene. In her spare time, she enjoys the great outdoors with her dogs, indulging in woodworking or creative projects, and making the most of the beautiful lakes in the North Okanagan.
With a deep love for the community she's found in Vernon and a commitment to enhancing it, Mayla Janzen continues to inspire and connect people through her innovative and heartfelt work.
