Through a structured six-phase process, participants gain the tools, insights, and personalized action plans to overcome obstacles and unlock new opportunities.

Program Overview

The Growth Accelerator Program (GAP) is a partnership initiative from the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce with Lochaven Consulting, designed to help local businesses build a stronger foundation for growth. Through a structured process, participants gain personalized guidance and expert insights to refine their strategies, improve operations, and navigate challenges with confidence.

This program isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach—each business receives tailored consulting and a clear action plan to support their specific goals. Whether it’s overcoming barriers, identifying untapped potential, or setting a course for long-term success, GAP equips business owners with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.

How it Works

  • GAP follows a structured six-phase journey, ensuring businesses receive comprehensive support:
    1. Program Intake: Marketing, client workshops, initial meetings, and intake form submission.
    2. Business Assessment: In-depth analysis of business functions (strategy, finance, HR, technology, marketing, and operations).
    3. Identify Challenges & Opportunities: Reviewing market trends and internal data to pinpoint key areas for improvement.
    4. Develop a Strategic Plan: Prioritizing action items and creating a roadmap for success.
    5. Plan Presentation & Implementation: Delivering and refining the strategy with client input.
    6. Client Aftercare: Gathering feedback and providing post-program support

Eligibility and Cost

  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • Must be an active Greater Vernon Chamber Member for at least one year to receive the subsidy.
    • Business must be full-time and committed to growth.
    • Part-time businesses may apply if they have expansion aspirations​.
  • Program Cost & Funding:
    • Total Cost: $7,000
    • Participant Contribution: $5,000
    • Chamber Support: $2,000 subsidy per business, making it more accessible. (limited funding available)
